This article deals with the concept of disarmament in outer space on the international sphere.It further deals with the necessity of proper law on the subject, since many nations are yet to codify the law on outer space and international law in the prevention of an arms race in outer space leaves uncertainties to international peace and security.  This article interprets the major treaties that regulate a States' military activities in outer space including, for example,  Article IV of the Outer Space Treaty, Jus ad bellum or jus in bello, The Outer Space Treaty, Limited Test Ban Treaty, Liability Convention and PPWT[1],Charter norms under Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, Interim Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT), Modes of Attack on the Satellites, The Anti-Ballistic missile system (ABM) Treaty.
