Abstract

The present paper aims to study teachers’ approach regarding parental involvement towards special learners. The investigator collected data from 60 special school teachers from Purba Medinipur district. Data were analyzed by using qualitative methods. Results showed that majority of the female teacher’s attitude towards parental involvement of special learners possess more positive than male teachers. Parents from urban possess more positive attitude towards parental involvement of special learners than the parents from rural locality. Experienced teachers possess positive attitude towards parental involvement of special learners than the below five (5) years experienced teachers. Parents from joint family possess more positive attitude towards parental involvement of special learners than the parents from nuclear family.
